Favorite Atlanta Wedding Vendors
On this page I am including a list of some of my favorite vendors that I feel exemplify excellent service, creativity, and professionalism to their clients in case you may be searching for some recommendations. Also, the venues included here, in my opinion, have wonderful scenery and decor that I think makes for beautiful photographs!
I am in no way affiliated with these companies and individuals, and I am happy to provide tips and recommendations regarding other past vendors to couples during our pre-wedding consultations.
Venues
Victoria Belle Mansion - Hogansville, GA
Victoria Belle is a beautiful mansion with a great variety of photogenic spots, such as a fountain, a waterfall, a small vineyard and garden, and a cozy white barn in which most receptions are held. It is the perfect venue for those seeking the classic Southern charm vibe. The owner, Vickie, ensures that the entire event is very well-organized and goes smoothly the day of, which is also great if you want to make sure you have the time for lots of great portraits.
Montaluce Winery - Dahlonega, GA
A Tuscan-style restaurant and winery in the gorgeous mountains of Dahlonega, Montaluce is an incredibly versatile venue with four great locations for the ceremony: two verandas (one for smaller, intimate weddings), in the vineyard by a tree, and the production room, which looks particularly enchanting when decorated with dozens of candles that provide very striking lighting. Practically every corner of the place is so picturesque, and the wedding guests always enjoy the scenic views from the verandas.
Magic Moments Venues - Greater Atlanta area, GA
This group of venues stands out by providing an excellent service during each event and also by continually taking care of the grounds. They always make sure that the ladscaping is seasonally updated and that there are flowers in their gardens even during winter time. Depending on your preferences you can pick one of their three historical mansions (Primrose Cottage in Roswell, Flint Hill in Norcross, Little Gardens in Lawrenceville), an elegant Neoclassical Venue called The Atrium in Norcross, Vinewwod Stables in Newnan or Cloverleaf Farm in Arnoldsville.
Ventanas - Midtown, Atlanta, GA
With a modern, airy style, this is the perfect venue for the metropolitan couples that want portraits with the city in the background. There is basically no better place to get the classic sunset skyline shots than on the Ventanas heliport. The guests love to sit by the fireplace on the terrace or dance with a view of Centennial Park and the Atlanta SkyView ferris wheel beneath them.
Biltmore Ballrooms - Midtown, Atlanta, GA
I absolutely love that at Biltmore Ballrooms, you have the opportunity to get garden portraits as well as those with a classic architecture and luxurious interior. This venue features towering white columns, ornate doors, unique stucco walls, and crystal chandelliers, which make it feel like your wedding is in a castle. The couple and guests are always blown away when the curtains open to the ballroom as the reception begins!
Heritage Sandy Springs - Sandy Springs, GA
Heritage Sandy Springs is perfect if you are seeking a small-town feel with a very relaxed atmosphere. It is a city-owned property that has two equally beautiful locations for the ceremony: an amphitheatre as well as an adjacent garden. Here I mainly take the couple's portraits in the large garden during the daylight, but you can also get some stunning shots done after dark with the beautifully-lit stone-wall building in the background.
Hilton Marietta Hotel - Marietta, GA
I love Hilton Marietta Hotel because it is such a multioptional venue with lots of different ceremony and reception locations that work in both rain or shine. The golf course and Brumby Hall Gardens are also very conveniently close by. The color scheme of the hotel looks amazing in portraits, and their charming spiral staircase with natural light is fantastic for the first look. And, of course, your traveling guests have a wonderful place to stay!
Planners
The following wedding planners are, in my experience, an absolute joy to work with as both a bride and a photographer. Incredibly thoughtful and organized, they can plan weddings that are magnificent and stress-free!

Officiants
Jeremiah O'Keefe West
Chaplain Jeremiah O'Keefe West is a non-denominational wedding officiant, very popular in Atlanta, who is willing to go wherever he is needed. He always shows great interest in the couple and makes sure to tailor the ceremony to fit their relationship and personalities. A ceremony by Jeremiah is sure to be one that you and your guests will always remember fondly.
Make-up Artists
These hair and make-up artists create looks that are well-tailored to any bride's style and have been in the business for a long time. Getting ready is also a very critical time in a wedding when things can easily fall behind schedule, but these artists always make sure that they are not only friendly, professional, and accommodating, but also, importantly, that the bride is ready on time for her portraits, first look, and ceremony.

Bands
Lark Chamber Music
Lark is a string quartet that is great at creating a classy and elegant atmosphere for your ceremony and cocktail hour. It includes very well-renowned musicians that have played for the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra, Atlanta Opera, and Atlanta Ballet. Although they specialize in classical music, they can also do tasteful covers of more modern music.
The Moxie Band
The Moxie Band is a very popular event band in Atlanta that performs a wide variety of music to any couple's taste. They are sure to bring the party to your reception with their always charismatic and enthusiastic performance!
I hope this list can help you find some wedding planning inspiration :) best of luck!
